Messenger 5.1 does not work in Vista - what does? Tried MS Office Communicator but that doesn't work with our LCS version. TIA Jim.

I was able to get X-Lite working fine when I tested it under Mac OS X. I confirmed that Windows Messenger 5.0 works under Virtual PC also. Then their SIP client contacts you directly through port 8000 and establishes a peer to peer connection. CGPro simply published you to other SIP users.

I've narrowed it down to one SIP address in my Windows Messenger SIP client (remove it, and the ICMP message stops appearing in my firewall). The underlying ISP of the person using that SIP address, is eliteukserve.net - and I have a feeling it's actually THEM (EliteUKServe) doing the blocking (or non-acceptance)
